A drumroll is definitely required to introduce Narla and Benji – Double Trouble!! Narla (a.k.a. Captain Digs-A-Lot) and Benji (a.k.a. Mister Loves-A-Lot) were the winners of the our Superhero competition last year. It took a little while but we were finally able to make their photo session happen… and let me assure you it was worth the wait!
They might look a little intimidating with all those teeth but don’t be fooled – Narla and Benji are total sweethearts who love each other to bits.
Narla is a two year old border collie x kelpie with her own cheeky personality. Just look at that smile!
Benji is a handsome one year old border collie x kelpie x bull terrier. He loooved the camera and was ever so obliging with all kinds of head tilts and facial expressions.
Narla and Benji do look very similar, but they aren’t related by blood. They love to play in the river and are lucky enough to go there nearly every day.
Narla and Benji’s absolute favourite thing is stalking each other. They creep around slyly eyeing each other before finally pouncing – I actually commented to their owners during the session that I felt more like I was photographing lions in Africa than dogs in Sydney!
Benji’s party trick is ‘paw’ – he kept offering his paw to anyone and everyone whenever he sat down! Eventually he settled for the tree.
Not to be outdone, Narla pulled out some poses of her own. Check out these “I haven’t got a care in the world” and “Butter wouldn’t melt in my mouth” expressions!
