Lucy the labrador is a very special lady indeed.

You’d never ever guess it – but she’s thirteen years old! If I dare work that out in ‘human years’, that would make her 91 years old…I hope I’m even half as good looking and half as smiley when I reach that age.

Lucy would be mortified if she knew that I had told everyone her age though, she’s such a proper little lady! Her fur is so soft and fluffy and smells like coconut – it was as if she’d spent the morning of her photo shoot being pampered and massaged at the spa!

There were some gorgeous petals on the ground in the backyard and Lucy was more than happy to pose in them like a seasoned professional. It’s as if she knew how pretty and pink the petals were – and how lovely she looked sitting in them.

Lucy is the twinkling star of the family and very much the centre of attention. As she absolutely should be! She has treasure chests full of toys and will literally go through them all to look for a specific toy to play with. Sometimes she looks through the entire box and scatters them everywhere before she finds what she’s looking for. Lucy’s special toy on the day of her session was her mouse – when I arrived she wiggled her way over to me carrying it in her mouth and was very keen to carry it all over the garden as we moved around taking photos.

Lucy is so full of giggles it was actually hard to take any shots of her with any other expression. She just has the biggest and most beautiful smile!
