Meet some rescue dogs available to adopt in Sydney today!
With Mothers Day being this month, the theme was Mothers and Daughters. Every one of the dogs here has either been a mother themselves, or is young enough to still have very strong memories of their mum.
Please see below some of the dogs who are currently available to adopt. If you think you could give one of them the forever home they deserve or would like to make an enquiry, you can contact Monika’s Doggie Rescue on 9486 3133 or visit their website here. You can also follow the shelter on Facebook for more information and updates here.
Our feature dog this month is Annie. Annie is a sweet older girl who is very calm and friendly. She’s been a mother herself and you can absolutely tell by her loving nature and sense of kindness. Annie looked beautiful among the flowers and I wish I could have kept her frolicking in them all day!

Millie was pregnant at the time of these photos being taken but was having some serious issues so it’s unlikely she’ll deliver a litter. It didn’t slow her down though or stop her smiling! Millie was very excited and was waggling her tail all over the place but was able to calm down and sit nicely.

Polly has improved so much since I first met her. She’s two years old and is very friendly girl who is a quick learner and eager to please.

Evie was another girl who was excited to have her photo taken! She was a ball of energy but worked out how to sit and pose in the flowers. Evie’s a big solid girl with beautiful colours.

Jane was definitely the most high energy pup of the day – she kept trying to eat the flowers!

Lexi is a one year old puppy who was very interested in sniffing right up and down the whole length of my legs to see which dogs I had already met that day. A very smiley and happy girl.

Storm is one of my absolute favourites at Monika’s at the moment – I have such a soft spot in my heart for her big boofy head and gorgeous smile!

Daisy did so well in her photo shoot – she started off terrified of everything and laid down very nervously at first. She did relax though and rewarded us with some smiles – she wasn’t so interested in treats or toys but just needed some extra time to settle.

Alice is a black puppy who insisted on rolling around on her back in the flowers!
