Meet some rescue dogs available to adopt in Sydney today!
We will stop at muffin to get these dogs adopted! Cupcakes and baked goods are the theme of the bandannas in the photos this month…but even with all that sugar around, the dogs are still sweeter!
Please see below some of the dogs who are currently available to adopt. If you think you could give one of them the forever home they deserve or would like to make an enquiry, you can contact Monika’s Doggie Rescue on 9486 3133 or visit their website here. You can also follow the shelter on Facebook for more information and updates here.
Dot is aptly named for the large round spot in the middle of her back. Dot is an eighteen month old staffy with a big happy smile and healthy appetite!

Storm is the world’s gift to pet photographers. He was absolutely perfect! The first time he came in I forgot to put his bandanna on so we had to bring him in for a second round of photos – he was a dream!! Storm is a five year old rottweiler with such a good temperament and bucketloads of patience.

I’ve photographed Cash a few times before but he has such zest for life it’s hard to get him to stay still! He’s a beautiful boy with heaps of energy – he’s larger than life and so much love to give. Cash is an eleven month old bull arab in need of an active family to love.

Polly is three but she doesn’t look it. She has had more than one litter of puppies of her own and came to Monika’s severely emaciated and malnourished. She’s on the path to a healthier happier life – are you a part of it?

Nugget is OBSESSED with balls – squeak a squeaky one or throw a tennis ball and you have his complete and undivided attention! Nugget is a two year old staffy cross who would suit an active family.

Klaus is another handsome puppy! He’s only twelve months old and has some food aggression issues due to a rough start in life – no one ever taught him to share so he’s a little bit wary of others trying to get involved with his food. Klaus is so bright and bubbly though and eager to learn – he just needs someone to show him what trust means and that he is safe now.

There’s a lot of Evie to love and that’s a good thing! She is a chunky monkey ready to barrel her way into your heart.

Cooper is the kindest and gentlest soul you could ever meet. He’s the size of a small horse but the most careful and considerate dog I have ever met. Cooper would be so perfect for a family with children who are ready for their first dog. He’s a big boy and can put the brakes on when walking if he doesn’t want to go in a particular direction – but his gentleness honestly just blew me away!!

Gideon is a handsome chap…and he knows it! He likes to laze around, he isn’t one to put in too much extra energy if he can help it – and with looks like these why would you need to? He is a very happy and well adjusted eighteen month old kelpie x.

Indi is a happy girl who loves tickles on her ears! She’s a six year old cattle x kelpie who is very playful and affectionate. I first met Indi when I was photographing a winter edition of the magazine and she was our cover girl surrounded by snowflakes!

Bentley is such a typical happy staffy – he has a giant head, a big grin and a wiggly butt! He was so excited to come into the studio for photos that he weed on the backdrop…it’s happened before and it will happen again I’m sure!

Darcy is a shy little bear who is quite nervous and needs some extra time to adjust in new situations. She took her time to thoroughly sniff everything in the room and was a bit too scared to sit in front of the camera by herself. Darcy is just a bit unsure of herself but with the right family in the right environment she will really come out of her shell!
