Meet some rescue dogs available to adopt in Sydney today!
February is the month of luuuuuuuurve!! The dogs at Monika’s Doggie Rescue aren’t fussed about the date on the calendar though and whether or not it’s Feb 14 – they just want someone to take them into their hearts and homes to love them forever!
Please see below some of the dogs who are currently available to adopt. If you think you could give one of them the forever home they deserve or would like to make an enquiry, you can contact Monika’s Doggie Rescue on 9486 3133 or visit their website here. You can also follow the shelter on Facebook for more information and updates here.
Khaleesi is an energetic girl with so much love to give! She covered me in kisses and didn’t stop showing her affection the whole time I was with her. Khaleesi is deaf and so is looking for someone extra special to take her home.

Peanut is a four year old boy with a super boofy mastiff head and sharpei wrinkles! He wants nothing more than to be nice and close (i.e. he’s a 23kg lap dog) and should definitely be your choice if you are in need of a snuggle bud!

Missy is a luscious lady who likes the finer things in life! She’s very food orientated and partial to some fine dining – maybe not a share platter just yet as she’s a little food protective but she’s eager to learn. Missy is just a pup – she’s only seven months old and already such a perfect little charmer!

Darcy is a bit of a nervous soul – she doesn’t like loud noises or strangers and is easily spooked. Don’t let that hold you back though – she just needs some extra time to get to know you and some patience on your end before she opens up. Just look at those ears!!

Douglas hasn’t had much luck – he’s been at Monika’s for a little while now and isn’t doing too great. He’s a nervous boy who sometimes isn’t sure how to control his anxiety so can sometimes come off as aggressive around food and other dogs. He just needs some time to learn that the world isn’t all bad and that good things do happen. Will you let him be your Valentine?

AJ is another dog who’s having a tough time at the moment. He’s very scared and timid, and takes quite awhile to allow strangers to come near him. He’s really uncertain about most things – noises, touch, food, etc – but this just means that there’s so much joy waiting around the corner for him when he is given the opportunity to experience love.

Floyd is a little character with his own unique quirks and we love it! He may not be your ‘typical’ Valentines Day hunk but the world would be boring if we all looked the same, right? Floyd is a happy guy who goes absolutely nuts for squeaky toys so make sure you have plenty on hand at his new forever home!

Poppy is a whole lotta dog with a whole lotta love to give! She’s a four year old mastiff x wolfhound who in all honesty is just a gorgeous giant puppy in looks and personality!

Buddy was a little bit shy when I met him – he’s a one year old cattle x kelpie who likes to take stock of his surroundings and make sure everything is ok before he relaxes. He’s definitely still a puppy and is inquisitive about everything. He was a little nervous but leaned right in for a few cheeky snuggles!

Toby is a senior citizen who just wants to adore you. He has dementia but it doesn’t get in the way of this happy old man – Toby is a gentle soul who enjoys the simple things in life like head scratches, belly rubs and back massages.
